About me
I took up rowing in high school, more than 50 years ago, competing successfully for more than a decade in eights, fours, and a single. For about 15 years career pressures got in the way of training on the water. During that time workouts were restricted to the gym, cycling, and inline skating . In 2010 I purchased a single scull and rediscovered the joy of efficiently gliding across the water. I flirted with the idea of Masters competition but paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (a condition common among rowers and scullers) sidelined me. I can still train, just not compete. I am active on the DEI committee of the Hanlan Boat Club here in Toronto and look forward to participating in the United We Row summit.
