About me
Jason Beagle began rowing in 2007 and went on to win three first place medals in the PR3 4+ pararowing event at the Head of the Charles Regatta including two course records. His first taste of international competition was the 2009 World Out Games in Copenhagen, Denmark winning a bronze medal in the men’s 8+ event. A 2012 member of Team USA, Jason was the alternate for the PR3 4+ event for the London Paralympic Games.
Coaching Experience: Jason began coaching while a resident athlete at the Oklahoma City National High-Performance Center in 2013. After relocating to Atlanta, he has been the head para-rowing coach at Atlanta Rowing Club since 2015. In 2022, he assumed the role of learn to row program coordinator. In January 2024, Jason relocated to Auburn, AL and is also the head coach of the Auburn University Rowing Club.
Rowing club governance experience: President of the DC Strokes Rowing Club (2009-2011); Pararowing Coordinator Atlanta Rowing Club (2015-present); Pararowing Coordinator Head of the Hooch Regatta (2016-present); US Rowing Pararowing Technical Classifier 2022-present. He is the founder and executive director of Friends of Auburn Rowing (2024).
US Rowing Level 3 High Performance Coaching Certification has provided me with the tools to support the growth of the sport of rowing in Atlanta and the Southeast region.
