About me
Pocock Rowing Club officially opened its doors on April 1, 2022. We are an adult only (18+ years or older) club. I have the privilege of being the club's first Executive Director. I am also a USRowing Referee, an international World Rowing Umpire, a Level 3 certified coach and a head coach of a master's women's rowing team.
I have been addicted to this sport since I walked onto the Western Washington University campus in the fall of 1979.
Our mission at the club is to foster an inclusive rowing community, support fitness, recreation, and skill development, and provide competitive local, national and international racing opportunities for rowers of all skill levels.
To that end, we have created a partnership with Seize the Oar and are looking for other partnership opportunities to introduce rowing to cancer survivors, wounded veterans, etc.
